Major Behavior

• No Gambling on Campus  
  • Gambling on campus is not allowed (cards, dice, etc.). Gambling is a violation of Ed Code 48900 (k) and Penal Code 330.  

Inappropriate dress will not be tolerated and the parent will be requested to bring the proper attire to school. A
student will be issued a loaner t-shirt, if any are available. Students are required to return loaner clothes or be issued a debt.

No solid red or blue backpacks

Beanies can be worn year round, however they must be school appropriate and must be of one solid color. Beanies cannot denote membership or affiliation with a gang or cause a threat to the overall safety of the student

Beanies cannot be worn in the classroom

One piece bodysuits are not allowed. No backless or overly revealing clothing is allowed

Parking Permit and Driving Policies

• No food service deliveries are allowed
• Dinuba High School is a closed campus during the school day, with the exception of eligible students
  during the lunch period that have a valid driver license, parking permit and approval from the
  administration.
• Students are not allowed to leave campus or go to the parking lot to retrieve items from their cars during school hours.
• Students are expected to be in compliance with all California laws associated with the privilege of driving.

DHS does not maintain a Lost and Found. If a lost item is turned into the office, DHS will make every effort to get the item returned to its owner. DHS will dispose of lost items if no owner can be located.

During the lunch period, with the exception of inclement weather and approved student meetings or activities,
buildings B and C are closed to students. The VAPA, PE, Construction, Transportation, Modular Buildings and Ag. Areas are also closed to students during the lunch period with the exception of approved student meetings or activities

Riding skateboards, skooters, motorized vehicles and/or bicycles on campus is strictly prohibited at all times.
Skateboards and bicycles must be stored upon arrival to campus. Skateboards may be checked into the office and
picked up at the end of the school day. Bicycles may be locked up on the eastern gate near the library.

PE Credit Option

Students enrolled in Fitness and Conditioning classes may complete the course early with appropriate seat time and approval from parents and administration.  

Valedictorian Policy 

Students must maintain Summa status through the second semester.

SARB Letter Procedures  

SARB Letter #1: 3 days (or 18 periods) of unexcused, ILL  or unverified absences, cuts or three 30 minute or more tardies (TMT) or any combination thereof.  

SARB Letter #2: one additional cut, unexcused, ILL  or unverified absence totaling 1 day, or one more 30 minute or more tardies (TMT) or any combination thereof and a meeting will be scheduled with an Counselor.  

32nd Negative Attendance – Counselor meeting / attendance SARB 2 contract (parent / student) / phone call home 

54th Negative Attendance – will result in the loss of privilege to walk in the graduation ceremony senior
